A few years ago we discovered salty caramel ice cream. It was excellent, less sweet than traditional caramel ice cream and very tasty indeed. When I came across the recipe in Lidl's online cookery book, prepared and presented by master Paweł Małecki, it took me back to that carefree holiday. Apart from salty caramel, the primary ingredient is puffed rice, which I remember from childhood. Preparing this dessert is so easy that I thought my children would be able to do it.

Apparently, children can eat any possible amount of sweets. Anything which an adult couldn't manage to eat is just an appetizer for kids. This time it so happened that we reached the breaking point of my children. After this dessert my small stuffed creatures slapped their bellies and said "It was tasty, but so ... sweet.

Though the dessert was excellent, it was really very sweet. An obligatory adjunct should be strong, bitter tea or fragrant, black coffee, and...you won't want to try a second helping Mrugnięcie.

Maybe you have some ideas on how to prepare this excellent dessert so it is a bit less sweet?

Ingredients (for 6 people):
50g of puffed rice
1 tin of dulce de leche
250g of mascarpone cheese
200ml of 30% sweet cream
0.5 teaspoon of sea salt
75 g of peeled almonds

It was meant to be a cake for children. And it was, but only at the beginning. Thanks to the courtesy of a couple of adults, its size diminished significantly. This dessert doesn't need baking, so it is great even when on holiday, when we rarely have access to an oven. I recommend it as an excellent dessert for the whole family. Unless your favourite dessert is herrings ... In this case I don't recommend it because it is quite sweet. You can prepare it in the evening and leave it in the fridge. The next day the cake will be excellent.

You can use puffed wheat with honey or common puffed rice; then the dessert is less sweet.

I found the inspiration for this dessert on www.smaker.pl "Kinder country – a cake without baking".

Ingredients:
200ml of 30% sweet cream
125g of mascarpone cheese
60g of puffed wheat with honey
100g of petit beurre cookies
100g of white chocolate
200g of dark chocolate
100g of cherry jam

There are some dishes which we order with great enjoyment in restaurants and cafés, but it seems to us that preparing them at home would be very awkward and difficult. However, if we have a good set up and are not put off by early failures, we can in fact prepare some of the dishes in our kitchen. All housewives also know that it is possible to simplify certain recipes without losing the quality of the dish.

It is not worth trying new recipes for important meetings. In case of failure you would then have to look for a cake shop to replace the mess in the kitchen with something sweet. Before Christmas my mum always sets aside one day for baking cakes. Usually, at least some of them are not suitable for the Christmas table (of course, they rarely they go to waste, because who doesn't like sweet and moist sad layer cake). When she bakes a cake randomly at the weekend however, they are always irreproachable.

One of the desserts which I haven't worked myself up to preparing is tiramisu. In every recipe I have found raw yolks. I have a principle: I don't eat them and I don't serve them to my family. I discovered, however, that without eggs this dessert is equally tasty and its consistency is excellent.

Ingredients:
200g of sponge biscuit
3 espressos
4 tablespoons of amaretto

The original recipe for Afghan cookies comes from the book "Cookies" by carl Bardi. The author claims that they don't have anything in common with Afghanistan. They come from New Zealand and nobody knows why they are called "Afghan cookies".

They come across as fast and easy, they don't need sophisticated ingredients and they were chocolaty. This is important, especially when the weather outside is increasingly less like a Polish golden autumn. The next time I will modify the recipe. Maybe I will add some dates or raisins. I see a lot of possibilities. In the original version the cookies are crunchy and chocolaty, and they are excellent for afternoon coffee or tea. They have only one fault: they disappear from the plate too fastMrugnięcie.

Ingredients:
180g of butter
100g of brown sugar
200g of flour
30g of cocoa
200g of corn flakes
40g of desiccated coconut
100g of dark chocolate
30g of minced walnuts

Sometimes my daughter cheers me up with the information that she needs something special for school. Sometimes my friend rings the doorbell to ask if they may drop by. In such situations you need an idea and the possibility to make something sweet.

When I think about the easiest and fastest cookies, French pastry always leaps to mind. It has potential both as a basic snack and a dessert. Essentially you need some fruit to make a quick dessert and in a few minutes you can make your surprise guests proud. A few days ago in the afternoon my children asked me for some cookies. French pastry, tinned pineapple and desiccated coconut, and after 25 minutes I served my dessert.

Ingredients:
1 pack of chilled French pastry
1 tin of pineapple
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
2 tablespoons of desiccated coconut
2 tablespoons of milk
