There are two cooking shows which I like among the few on TV. I value cooking journeys by Robert Makłowicz for the exoticism and conversational style. I also like Karol Okrasa’s cooking show because he visits forsaken corners of Poland and rejuvenates traditional recipes.
Today I propose a dish which comes from one of Karol Okrasa’s Masurian programmes. This dish combines the traditional taste of fish with unusual condiments which apparently do not go well together: sour cabbage, sweet honey, chilli pepper and garlic. There are no peas but the net result is amazing and extremely delicious.

Today, I would like to share with you a very easy recipe for a hot dessert. It is perfect for a cold day. This is a proposal for some of you who want to start your adventure with baking. There is no way you could ruin this dessert; it is always delicious and smells homely. After baking you can serve it with whipped cream, vanilla sauce or yoghurt. Be careful because this dessert stays hot for a long time. Sometimes you think it is cool, but under the crumble topping you have very hot apple lava.

Six o’clock in the morning, the alarm clock is ringing. You have the temptation to throw it against the wall. Yesterday you read a book until two o’clock in the morning. After four hours’ sleep you think what an idiot you are. In the night you decided “only one more chapter” and then eleven times the same thing. Despite how warm the duvet is and how comfy your pillow is you have to wake up. Suddenly it hits you! The morning coffee. If only you can reach the coffeemaker without tripping over your own legs. The first sip of the flavoured drink and you are back to life.

Some people love liver and others hate it. My family belongs to the former group, but I wouldn’t serve this dish during a family gathering.
I know that each housewife has her own recipe for liver. I have eaten fried liver and liver spiced with the herbs and onion. My favourite however is liver with onion and pieces of apple.

In Warsaw there are tree-covered districts and places which, for different reasons, look like a rocky dessert. In recent years I have watched with pleasure the tendency to create plazas and make green infrastructure around new investments. Maybe in the future every district will feature a park. We may enjoy the increasing revitalization of existing areas of recreation.
