You can't deny that the autumn is coming. In my kitchen strawberries and chard have been superseded by plums and chanterelles. More often we want hot soup rather than cold soup and fruit cocktails. Today I would like to share with you the recipe for buns with plums, which admittedly need more work, but I assure you that it is worth it. A warm bun is excellent with a cup of tea and if you are not able to eat everything, you can pack it in your children's lunchbox. This sweet surprise immediately brightens up a grey school day.

If you use fresh yeast you need to prepare leaven with the yeast, sugar and tepid milk. I used dry yeast. You only need to mix it with flour and knead with the rest of the ingredients.

Ingredients (6 buns)
dough
5g of dry yeast
200g of flour
125ml of milk
1 egg
3 tablespoons of sugar
30 g of butter
a pinch of salt
crumble topping
30g of butter
30g of caster sugar
60g of flour
8-9 plums
2 tablespoons of milk

Today I would like to share with you the recipe for a dish which doesn't look beautiful but tastes wonderful. I prepared it also for my husband's packed lunch. I said shyly that the contents of the lunch box don't look glamorous but they are really yummy. My husband looked at it and said: "What it looks like is unimportant; it smells so yummy that I don't know if I will get it to work. I will eat it on the way." Sometimes we go for gold, put the food on the plate and the effect diverges from our expectations. Sometimes we don't have enough time, just use a couple of ingredients, it takes a few minutes, and we have a royal dish on the plate.
The idea for this dish comes from the magazine "Moje gotowanie" ("My cooking")
Ingredients (for two people)
100g of penne or fusilli pasta
500g of small mushrooms
500g of fresh spinach
10 dried tomatoes
1 onion
3 cloves of garlic
1 chili pepper
a few capers
1 tablespoon of butter
a fistful of sunflower seeds
a fistful of cashew nuts
salt and pepper

The raspberry season is finished. Occasionally, you can buy quite nice fruit. Though they aren't as cheap as in the summer, I got tempted and bought a box. Some of the fruit was eaten at once by my children – raspberries are one of their favourite types of fruit – I used the rest in some oat-banana muffins. My home again smelled of summer. What a shame that the next raspberry season will be in a year's time. Oat-banana muffins are also excellent without fruit or with a different seasonal fruit. Now you could use apples, pears or plums. Make a note of this recipe and in the future make some muffins with raspberries, strawberries or blackberries.

Ingredients:
200g of banana
140 g of flour
40g of rolled oats
70g of brown sugar
50g of butter
50g of natural yoghurt
1 egg
1 teaspoon of baking powder
raspberries

The autumn is in full swing. It is getting colder and colder, the days are shorter and the leaves are more and more colourful. Though it sounds picturesque, I am not keen on it. The autumn leads to the winter and I don't like it. The only asset of the colder days is yummy food. Now it isn't so light and fruity as in the spring and summer. Now we eat more sumptuous, fragrant dishes full of seasonings which warm us up.

Today I would like to share with you the recipe for such a dish. It is a goulash, but I prepared it a bit differently because I used mincemeat. The chili pepper, ginger, herby pepper and cumin impart a warming character to it.

Ingredients:
500g of mincemeat
2 carrots
1 parsley root
1 onion
3 cloves of garlic
1 chili pepper
a piece of fresh ginger
1 tin of red beans
1 tin of tomatoes
2 tablespoons of oil
1l of bouillon
1 teaspoon of sweet paprika
half a teaspoon of herby pepper
half a teaspoon of cumin
2 tablespoons of chives

In my home the beginning of the autumn smells of apples. Cakes, apple pies, tarts, desserts – I have prepared everything at least once. Today I would like to share with you the recipe for a swift dessert – apples in French pastry. They are perfect if you don't have a lot of time. Unless you are a cake master and you make the French pastry yourself. I used the finished product. I made the cookies to give my busy daughter a helping hand. Then she told me that with these cookies even "Pan Tadeusz" might be a good idea (the book "Pan Tadeusz" is a poem by Adam Mickiewicz. It is one of the most difficult set books in primary school).

Ingredients (6 cookies)
1 pack of chilled French pastry
2-3 apples
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
2 tablespoons of orange juice
3 tablespoons of milk
3 tablespoons of brown sugar
