I think most children like cream soup. My children like it too. When I want to prepare a fast dinner or something hot for supper, I often prepare this kind of soup. Is there anything nicer on a cold rainy evening?

I have prepared cream soup with almost all vegetables. This time I enriched my cauliflower cream with a hint of cheese, thanks to which my soup had a mellow, cheesy consistency. It was excellent with pumpkin seeds and watercress. You may serve it with minced chives, dill, puffed peas or croutons. Choose what your children like the most.

Ingredients:
1 cauliflower
1 small onion
1 clove of garlic
1 tablespoon of butter
vegetable stock
100g of processed cheese
salt and pepper

Recently, during an international discussion, I had a chance to think about Polish desserts. It wasn't an easy task. Do we have any desserts associated with our country like tiramisu and panna cotta with Italy or crème brulèe with France. Obviously, there are cakes. Cheese cake, Easter cake called mazurek, gingerbread and poppy seed cake are always eaten during our festivals.

I associate Polish desserts with fruit. In our country the seasonal fruits are so juicy and full of flavour that they consistently reign on summer and autumn tables. I associate Poland with strawberries, plums and apples.

The main ingredients of my desserts are just apples. All cakes with apples I know involve cutting and stewing the apples. For this cake you should add pieces of fresh and fragrant fruit cut in half. The recipe for this cake comes from http://moniamieszaigotuje.blogspot.com

Ingredients:
dough
6 apples
280g of flour
200g of butter
1.5 tablespoons of caster sugar
1 tablespoon of vanilla sugar
1.5 teaspoons of baking powder
1 egg
125g of vanilla fromage frails

Today I have a recipe for those who would like to eat something more sophisticated than pieces of sausage on a stick, caught on the fly from the fridge (I do it myself sometimes), and who don't have enough time for shopping and cooking. In situations like this, the best dishes are the ones commonly known as a "review of the fridge". It could be a great opportunity to use items of shopping that were bought rather carelessly. Often hunger and an attractive promotion are our advisers when shopping, so we end up with strange sauces, snacks and exotic products that we don't have any idea how to use.

The basis of my dish could be groats, rice or pasta. I chose wholemeal penne. Grilled courgette, goat cheese, cherry tomatoes and black olives meant that the dish almost jumped onto the fork by itself. Even my children appreciated it.

Ingredients (for 4 people):
200g of wholemeal penne
2 small courgettes (about 500g)
100g of goat cheese with herbs for salads
16 cherry tomatoes
12 olives
4 sprigs of rosemary
3 tablespoons of oil
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 teaspoon of olive oil with chili pepper
half a clove of garlic
salt and pepper
