Every housewife has her old treasured recipes. Maybe mothers pass them on to their daughters, or maybe grandmothers reveal them to granddaughters. The recipe which my mother gave me as "kitchen heritage" is for a chocolate cake called "murzynek"

In Poland we should be proud of many achievements. For example, advanced inventions which have changed the modern world, medical achievements, sportspeople, musicians... But it is not only modern things that we can be proud of. Today I would like to tell you about a place for which we have historical pride. Pionier cinema – one of the oldest nonstop functional cinemas in the world.

In Warsaw there are a few good sushi restaurants. Tomo Sushi on Krucza Street stole the hearts and tummies of my family. The delicious food and nice service attracts us like a magnet.

My mother used to make "checked apple pie". She cut the dough into strips and made a grid from this on the apples. I like a combination of apples and peaches, so I enrich traditional apple pie with this fruit.

Do you know where the oldest fish farm in Continental Europe is? It's in Poland, near Częstochowa, on the edge of Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska in Złoty Potok. Here the crystal clear water of Elżbieta and Zygmunt sources have for decades flooded the ponds of Pstrągarnia. In the  middle of the XIX century, count Edward Raczyński decided to build a fish farm at the source of the Wiercica River.
