Cookies with an autumn aroma

Although late summer has the promise of autumn, I like the last warm days, when the sun is beating down and you can find fragrant vegetable-fruity treasures in orchards and gardens.

In my opinion the winter (which I don't like ) has already gone on for far too long, so I would like to share with you a recipe for very simple cookies, fragrant with the warmth of the last summer days. Apple mousse, with a hint of cinnamon wrapped in French pastry, looks beautiful and tastes and smells even more beautiful.

I found the recipe in the Lidl on-line cookery book, and its master is Paweł Małecki. In his hands even the most complicated confectionary challenges become yummy desserts. However, this recipe is so simple that I decided to face it. You should try it too. Your family will be delighted.

Ingredients:
1 pack of chilled French pastry
4 apples
60g of brown sugar
6g of cinnamon
25g of butter
caster sugar

Mix the sugar with the cinnamon. Melt the butter and leave to cool down.
Wash the apples, peel, and remove the cores. Grate them, put them in a sieve and drain them.
Heat the oven up to 200C. Cover a baking sheet with baking paper.
Open the French pastry and sprinkle with the blended cinnamon. Press it lightly to fix it to the dough. Add the rest of the sugar and butter to the apples and stir thoroughly. Put it on the French pastry, leaving 2 cm without apples along the longer edge. Roll the dough along the longer edge and stick the roulade to the edge without apples. Leave it in the freezer for 30 minutes. Cut the chilled pastry into 1.5cm slices. Put them on a baking sheet, keeping them separate. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Sprinkle with the caster sugar.

Enjoy your meal!
