Do you like cakes and desserts which don't need baking? Baking is for me always hit and miss. Sometimes, even though you do everything according to the recipe, the cake is too dry or underdone. Gas ovens bake things differently from electric ones, so following old recipes is a toss-up.
Today's proposal is a caramel-banana cake with chocolate and whipped cream. When I make this dessert again, I will spread the cake with plum stew. I think that the slightly sour taste will go well with sweet caramel and banana.
The recipe comes from www.kuchnialidla.pl
Ingredients:
300g of biscuits
150g of melted butter
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
400g of fudge
120g of dark chocolate
200g of mascarpone cheese
200g of 30% cream
2 teaspoons of caster sugar
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
3 bananas
Crumble the cookies very thoroughly and mix them up with melted butter. Cover a baking pan (e.g. for a tart) with the dough you have just made so that it also covers the sides of the pan. Leave it in the fridge for half an hour. Melt 50g of the chocolate in a bain-marie and then mince another 50g of the chocolate. Mix the fudge with the mascarpone cheese, melted chocolate and crumbled chocolate. Put it on the base of the cake and leave it in the fridge for a few hours. Whisk the cream with the caster sugar. Slice the bananas and sprinkle with the lemon juice. Arrange the banana slices on the caramel layer and cover with the whipped cream. Decorate with grated chocolate.
Enjoy your meal!
