When I ask foreigners what the best Polish dish is they often say sour soup and dumplings. Many countries have their own recipes for dumplings, but apparently only in Poland are there so many types of stuffing. We can have dumplings for every occasion. We have dumplings with meat, dumplings for vegetarians and, especially for children, sweet dumplings, for example with bilberries and sour cream. It is worth mentioning royal dumplings with cabbage and mushrooms for Christmas Eve.

We like the most dumplings with meat, and "ruskie" with potatoes, cheese and onion. Sometimes I prepare dumplings with oyster mushrooms, spinach, buckwheat groats and cheese. This time I decided to prepare dumplings with lentil stuffing. I used green lentils, which are harder than red ones, and the stuffing is more compact and easier to cover with the dough.

Ingredients
dough
500g of flour
4 tablespoons of oil
250-300 ml of boiling water
a pinch of salt
stuffing
100g of dry green lentils
2 cloves of garlic
1 big onion
4 tablespoons of chopped parsley
1 tablespoon of butter
salt and pepper

Though I find it very hard to believe, holidays are not only for children. After a sunny day, we usually drink local wine or we prepare holiday drinks.

Making use of the end of the strawberry season, I recommend preparing a light strawberry rum drink. The blended strawberries are excellent not only for milk cocktails, but are great for low alcohol drinks. Mix them with sparkling wine, rum or tequila and enjoy a refreshing sweet drink with a bit of liquor. If you don't like the combination of rum and sparkling wine, add Sprite or simply sparkling water. Add frozen strawberries so as not to dilute the drink with dissolved ice.

Ingredients (for 2 drinks)
10 ripe frozen strawberries
50ml of orange juice
25ml of lemon juice
2 tablespoons of maple syrup
50ml of white rum
50ml of sparkling wine

Today I would like to share with you the recipe for a dessert for everybody who watches their waistline but likes to eat something sweet. I recommend muffins which look like normal muffins, but hold a secret: a thin almond hull and a lot of fruit inside. This muffins look very inconspicuous, but it is only to confuse the enemy. You only need one bite and you failed... miserably. I'm sure that one muffin is not enough. I filled my muffins with blueberries. You could use also bilberries, gooseberries and currants. Make these muffins in your home; they are worth it.

Ingredients:
dough
100g of flour
4 tablespoons of minced almonds
100g of butter
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons of caster sugar
filling
200g of blueberries
2 tablespoons of flour
2 tablespoons of brown sugar

People like barbecues. Eating outside has an unusual charm. Sometimes the weather plays a trick on us, and instead of a blue sky we have grey clouds and rain. Even then we don't turn away from the barbecue. I use an electric grill and eat what we prepare.

Today I would like to share with you the recipe for a very summery dish. Grilled pork tenderloin pickled in mustard, soya sauce, and plum stew is excellent. My family love it. I wonder how often I would have to prepare this dish to get bored with it. Now even my son, who can find something wrong with every dish, eats grilled pork tenderloin without fussing. I serve grilled pork tenderloin with fresh salad and beetroots.

Ingredients:
500g of pork tenderloin
marinade:
100ml of oil
2 tablespoons of plum stew
2 tablespoons of French mustard
3 tablespoons of maple syrup
1 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 twigs of rosemary
2 twigs of thyme
salt and pepper
4 tablespoons of oil for frying

Basically, the strawberry season is in June. There are strawberry species which give fruit until autumn. These species are: ostara, san andreas and monterey. Thanks to them I may enjoy my favourite fruit all summer. In July my children more often go for raspberries, blackberries or nectarines, but that doesn't mean that they don't eat yummy desserts with strawberries. No! My children love desserts above all.

Today I would like to share a recipe for those who, like me, love halvah and strawberries. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, I can't say that it is dietetic. Sometimes you may allow yourself a bit of madness – for example while on holiday – and sin with this wonderful creamy sweetness with a slightly sour strawberry mousse.

Ingredients:
200g of mascarpone cheese
150g of 30% sweet cream
150g of halvah
350g of strawberries
a fistful of cashew nuts
